 Spiritual Darkness

I am writing this tract in the hope it might cause those who read it to realize that God, Satan, Heaven and Hell are realities and not just figments of the imagination as some claim.

It's sad thinking about the thousands of people who live their entire lives with hardly any serious thought about where their souls will be in eternity. In fact, many don't seem to realize they have a soul.

It must be realized that the devil is real and is using every method he can to cause God's created mankind to go to Hell instead of going to Heaven and being with God.

One of the devil's most effective methods is "spiritual blindness" or "spiritual sleep." If he can cause a person to never seriously consider the reality of going to a real Hell or a real Heaven, he'll win that person's soul. If parents could only realize that the children they love so much will sometime in the future be either in Heaven with God and His angels or in Hell with Satan and his demons.

Every living human has a soul that will never die. When the human body dies, the soul leaves the body. Our bodies are only houses or dwelling places for out souls. Someday the body will go back to the dust from which it was made (Gen. 2:7 and 3:19), but the soul will go to its destination, either Heaven or Hell. The destination of a person's soul is determined by whether or not he accepts Jesus Christ as his Savior and the living of a dedicated Christian life.

Many Christians will give a testimony of how they lived in spiritual darkness for years without giving hardly any thought to where they would go after death. Before a person can be saved, he must "wake up" out of the spiritual sleep he is in and realize he is on his way to a real lake of fire (Rev. 20:15). Just as sure as we are living human beings, there is a real God that created us. If God is real, Heaven and Hell are also real.

In the parable of the rich fool (Luke 12:20), the man gave no serious thought about the destination of his soul. God Himself called this man a fool because it had come time for this man to die, and he'd lived his entire life in spiritual
blindness or darkness.

If you are a sinner, I pray what I've written in this tract will cause you to consider where you and your family will spend eternity. Why not make the choice of living in eternal peace and happiness with Jesus Christ, my wonderful God and Savior.
