 Study on Salvation

First a little story to help you understand my personal relationship with the one living savior--Jesus. I have been saved since I was 7 years old, but I did not act like a Christian all those years. I have fell away and returned to the church more than once, but nevertheless all of the times I was away Christ was with me, watching over me and gently bringing me back to him. And no matter what sin I committed he still loved me. To Jesus one sin whether it be murder or lying are the same, sin is sin. In my adult years I have returned to him and he has blessed me for returning. He has guided me to my current job, he has helped me to witness to many needy people, and has increased my faith daily. I trust Christ with everything and he helps me to live a life that is an example to others. But, that is not to say that I do not fall down, no one is perfect except Christ. When I fall down he helps me to stand again. Now I would like to share with you some verses that will help you to find Jesus Christ---The Real Thing!!

"All have sinned and are not good enough for God's glory, and all need to be made right with God by his grace, which is a FREE gift. They need to be made free from sin through Jesus Christ". (Romans 3:23 & 24)

Here is a person who came looking for salvation and Jesus explains it to him. In place of Nicodemus's name put yours, it may help answer some of your questions.

"There was a man named Nicodemus who was one of the Pharisees and an important Jewish leader. One night Nicodemus came to Jesus and said, "Teacher, we know you are a teacher sent from God, because no one can do the miracles you do unless God is with him."

Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, unless one is born again, he cannot be in God's kingdom." Nicodemus said, "But if a person is already old, how can he be born again? He cannot enter his mother's body again. So how can a person be born a second time?"

But Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, unless one is born from water and the Spirit, he cannot enter God's kingdom. Human life comes from human parents, but spiritual life comes from the Spirit. Don't be surprised when I tell you, 'You must be born again.' The wind blows where it wants to and you hear the sound of it, but you don't know where the wind comes from or where it is going. It is the same with every person who is born from the Spirit."

(Jesus said) "...God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son so that whoever believes in him may not be lost, but have eternal life. God did not send his Son into the world to judge the world guilty, but to save the world through him. People who believe in God's Son are not judged guilty. Those who do not believe have already been judged guilty, because they have not believed in God's one and only Son." (John 3:1-8 &16-18)NCV: New Century Version

I could share many other verses with you, but I think these explain what you need to know. If you have read these verses and feel that you would like to be clean and "born-again", you can pray this simple prayer:

God be merciful to me a sinner! I believe Christ died for me and that His Precious blood will cleanse me from all my sin. By faith I now receive the Lord Jesus Christ into my heart as my Lord and my Savior; trusting Him for my soul. Help me Lord to do thy will each day. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen

If you prayed this prayer and REALLY meant it then CONGRATULATIONS YOU ARE NOW ONE OF GOD'S CHILDREN please share you decision with others. May God Bless You.

Please email me and let me know of your decision.  I would love to pray for you.  You can write me at mliga34@aol.com.
