Webster's
Dictionary Definition of Sin:
-A transgression of
religious law
-An offense against GOD
Bible's Definition
of Sin:
For
there is no distinction, since all have sinned and continue
to fall short of God's glory.
Romans 3:22b-23
So anyone who knows
what is right but fails to do it is
guilty of sin.
James 4:17
My interpretation of
what the Bible says about sin:
Ok, so James says that anyone
who knows what is right but fails to do it is guilty of (or
committing) sin. So how does one know what is right or
wrong?
Even if you do not believe in
the bible it is the stick that we are all measured to and if
you do not measure up then you have committed a sin.
The best way to put this is
God, Creator of Heaven and Earth and YOU made this place for
us to live in and he expects us to follow his rules.
If we do not then it is called sin.
To really understand what sin
is please read the section on "How
Sin Entered the World".
I feel that it is important
to mention here that there is a way to be forgiven for
all
of your sins. If you are interested in discovering
how you can be forgiven please click
