Photo: bezalelsm X Today, President Trump will posthumously give Charlie Kirk the Presidential Medal of Freedom. This young man, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, made such an impact on young people across our nation. We should all honor what the Lord Jesus Christ did through this young man and the things He will continue to do because of the martyrdom of a fellow Christian. I do weep for my country because of what we have become, not a country of free speech anymore, but of the mindset, "if you do not agree with the party line you are expendable." Below, I expand on the above thoughts, please read and pray for Mr. Kirk's family and for our nation. A Divine Perspective on Earthly Struggles When we reflect on the impact a single life has on a nation, particularly under the guiding force of the Holy Spirit, we acknowledge a spiritual reality that transcends scientific explanation, accepted by believers on faith. True honor belongs to the LORD, the Creator, who guides existence according to His purpose. The desire to honor those who live faithfully often coincides with periods of national distress. When faced with the perception that justice is lost or that certain people are treated as "expendable," we find that divine instruction sternly warns against oppression. The Law commands us not to pervert justice for the poor or mistreat the resident alien, recalling that Israel itself experienced being aliens in Egypt. Remember that those who practice iniquity or live arrogantly face judgment, and the wicked will eventually be scattered and cease to live. Yet, the LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abundant in faithful love. Those who are afflicted are encouraged to seek God, who serves as a refuge and strength in times of distress. We should commit ourselves to obey God’s commands with a sound heart and devoted soul, walking in righteousness and justice. By doing so, we are promised that life will go well and we will receive blessing.

Welcome to a new chapter for Glorify the Lord! This ministry first began in 1997, and for 27 years, it has been a digital home for faith at glorifythelord.com. As I step into this new beginning as a blogger, I find my heart drawn to the ultimate source of all new starts: the Word of God. The Bible is a grand narrative filled with stories of fresh starts, second chances, and divine reboots. Today, let’s journey back to the very first book, Genesis, to explore some of the most powerful new beginnings God has orchestrated. The Ultimate New Beginning: Creation The Bible opens with the most profound new beginning of all: “In the beginning, God created the universe”. The sources describe an earth that was initially "unformed and desolate," with darkness covering the ocean depths. Into this chaos, God spoke, and a new reality began. He said, “Let there be light!” and light appeared. This was the first day of a grand start, where God separated light from darkness, calling them “day” and “night”.Over the following days, God continued to bring order and life into being. He created a canopy He called "sky" to separate the waters. He gathered the waters into one place to let dry ground, which He called "land," appear. This new world was not empty; God filled it with vegetation, seed-bearing plants, and fruit trees. He then fashioned great lights in the sky to distinguish day from night and to act as signs for seasons, days, and years. The oceans were filled with living creatures, and birds were made to fly above the earth. Finally, God created every kind of living creature on the land and culminated His work by making mankind in His own image. He blessed these first humans, giving them a purpose and a beginning as masters of the earth. This foundational story reminds us that our God is a God of newness, capable of creating beauty, order, and purpose out of any void.
